Happy 147th birthday Canada, you old dawg, you! Although in comparison to other countries I guess you’re still a young babe. In fact, I bet all the other countries are always trying to tap that – and why not! Yeah, you’re definitely a total babe as far as “country years” go.
To celebrate Canada’s big day this year, I made a playlist that spans from coast-to-coast. Yes, I even included the territories! I didn’t really include Labrador because you know we all call it Newfoundland AND Labrador and I don’t think anyone actually lives there… Do they? If someone lives there and happens to read this… and happens to know a good band, then let me know!
The playlist starts in Ontario (my home and native land) and then stretches out east: Québec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland. After the list heads out west, starting in Manitoba, followed by: Saskatchewan, Alberta, and of course British Columbia. Then the list wraps up with the three territories: Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.
Most of the songs are from Ontario and Québec as those are the provinces I am most familiar with and spend most of my time in.
Please let me know in the comments what artists/songs you would add in your Canada Day playlist!
